Mucinex Fast-Max DM Max Liquid is a maximum-strength, dual-action formula designed to relieve cough and chest congestion associated with colds, flu, and bronchial irritation. It combines a cough suppressant (dextromethorphan HBr) to help reduce the urge to cough with an expectorant (guaifenesin) that thins and loosens mucus in the airways, making coughs more productive.
